ABOUT WELLSPENT

With its successful origins beginning in 2018 in Mississippi and evolving to South Carolina in 2020, WellSpent aims to educate and influence business, healthcare, and economic development leaders to collaborate around improving the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare as an economic driver.

WellSpent is an initiative of the non-profit Employer-Provider Interface Council [EPIC] whose mission is to provide insight, information, and guidance to employer or provider decision makers and business leaders. EPIC does this by providing an environment that allows key stakeholders to focus thought, develop key metrics, and design care management strategies that effect change within populations. EPIC, a sister organization of the Hospital Quality Foundation (HQF) are non-profit organizations comprised of various healthcare or business professionals dedicated to transforming healthcare collaboration.

The WellSpent mission is to enable actionable, meaningful lines of communication across economic development (business, government) and healthcare (employer purchased healthcare, care delivery) that educate, influence, and persuade key stakeholders on the importance of driving business with healthcare. During 2021, WellSpent Southeast will be executed as a dynamic virtual meeting series connecting multiple states through unique information sharing and decision-maker collaborations on employer health, healthcare value, and economic development.

Exciting new and established healthcare related innovations or economic development efforts are important to improving along with increasing real-world solution opportunities desired by the business community leaders of each Southeastern states.
